Pelle Pelle-Style True To Our Roots Olive & Brown Leather Jacket, Handmade by Leather Taboo

Olive green cowhide, dark brown sleeves and a back panel loaded with cream studded lettering — this is Leather Taboo's handmade tribute to the "True To Our Roots" varsity that Pelle Pelle fans know from the 1978 crest and the signature at the hem. Two-Tone Cowhide with Studded Back Lettering

The body is cut from smooth olive-green cowhide with the raglan sleeves and shoulder yoke in dark brown, so the colour break follows the seam line rather than a printed panel. Across the back, "Pelle Pelle" runs in cream block letters edged with brass studs, "True To Our Roots" curves beneath it in studded script, and a gold "Steadfast – Resoluted" banner frames the crest. "Genuine Leather" sits either side of a large studded "1978" with the script signature below. Every stud is set through the hide by hand, which is why the lettering stands proud of the leather instead of sitting flat like a transfer.

Varsity Bomber Cut That Wears In, Not Out

The cut is a relaxed varsity bomber: shirt-style leather collar over a brown knit band, full-length brass-tone zip, two side-entry welt pockets and ribbed brown knit at the cuffs and hem. The front carries a smaller "True To Our Roots" script with the crest banner and "1978" on the left chest, and a round crest badge on the right sleeve. Cowhide of this weight holds the boxy shoulder line from the first wear and softens through the elbows over the first month, so the jacket looks sharper at year three than on day one.

Choose from XS through 8XL on the size chart, or send chest, shoulder, sleeve and back-length measurements through the custom order page for a made-to-measure cut at no extra charge. Every jacket is made after the order is placed; production normally takes 14–15 working days, then it ships with a tracking number to the USA and worldwide. Standard-size orders can be returned within 15 days of delivery; made-to-measure pieces are exchanged if they arrive damaged or incorrect. Keep the olive hide looking even by wiping it down after wear and conditioning it a couple of times a year.
